Deputies with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate a January 2026 homicide, and are asking for the public’s assistance.
According to WCSO, on the evening of Jan. 12, Margarita Castro was shot as she was returning to her Rehnea Drive home in Old Hickory. She had just completed a Zumba class and celebrated her birthday just two days prior.
To this day, no arrests have been made. WCSO believes Castro was intentionally targeted. A reward of $15,000 is now being offered for information that leads to the arrest and successful prosecution of the person(s) responsible.
In March, a photo of a silver car investigators believe may be involved was released.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Travis Donnell at 615-444-1459 ext. 252 or tdonnell@wcso95.org
